Obama voters: will you choose Hillary or McCain

[del]Inspired[/del] Necessitated by this thread:

There are numerous speculations among the various threads about who will choose Hillary and who will choose McCain if the Presidential race comes down to these two.

So, for those who voted for Obama in the primaries, if it comes to this, will you vote for Clinton or McCain in November? Why?

No, Obama will be the nominee. If he isn’t, I’m not going to choose between the two.

Chance of this happening: 0%.

Bother to answer? No. :stuck_out_tongue:

McCain, if Obama somehow does not get the nomination.

McCain

I’ll abstain. But that’s not what’s going to happen.

I’m an Obama supporter, but not as avid as some here on this board. Hillary is turning me off more and more, though, and if she gets the nomination, I’m not sure what I’ll do. I want us out of Iraq and even though I don’t really believe either of the Dems will get us out completely, I think they’ll both at least start to do so. Hillary is just looking too much like a Bush politician, though, and I don’t know if I want 4 (more) years of that. It’ll be a tough call. If it had been Romney or Huckabee, I would’ve chosen Hillary without much thought.

Either McCain or no one, haven’t decided yet (as I trust I will not have to).

McCain doesn’t match me on any policies that I think are important, but at least he’s a decent, honest guy, as opposed to an arrogant, self-centered liar like Hillary.

I don’t think I could bring myself to vote for Clinton, but I definitly would not vote for McCain. I’d probably just write in Obama.

As much as I’ve grown to despise her, I’d have to vote for Hillary. I don’t think the country can afford to have four more years of unchecked neo-republicanism…although Hillary does seem more like a republican to me with every passing day. I’d just have try to suspend disbelief and hope Congress wouldn’t allow her to stray too far from the reservation. :dubious:

Neither of them would get my vote.

As I announced at dinner tonight, I would probably vote for Clinton, because her campaign positions are better for us than Bush’s.

But then I’d have to take the rest of the day off and go to Mr. Donut. It is hard to say exactly why, but being a teetotaler has something to do with it.

McCain would be an absolute nightmare. George W. Bush, part deux. He’s clueless about international affairs, clueless about the economy, and has a major anger problem.

I’d vote for a yellow dog before I’d vote for McCain. Hillary, it is then.

If it came down to Hillary v McCain, I would vote for Nader. I cannot bring myself to vote for either of those two. Even if I had knowledge that Michigan would be tied except for my vote and that our electors would be the difference, I could not make either of those bozos president.

I think I’d burry my heart at wounded knee and vote McCain.

Emotion over substance, huh?

No, laughter over pain, really, though it would depend who she had as a vp, but I’d prefer not to think of it.

I simply cannot vote for a candidate who wants to remain indefinitely in a completely unwinnable and unaffordable war. His views on abortion also bother me (he’s said he would support judges most likely to overturn Roe v. Wade, which I think is a horror). I’d hold my nose and vote for Hillary and pray for the best.

Hillary. I cannot support McCain, given his stance on the war in Iraq (plus a few other incidentals).

I’d have to hold my nose, though. Hill and Bill have disappointed me in this campaign.

Hillary. We have to be reasonable. I’m not willing to sacrifice more lives in Iraq because my candidate didn’t get the nomination.
