New baby!
Hi everyone, my wife and I would like to annouce the birth of a new person this morning at 1:16am Western Australia time.

Caitlin was born on the 26 of April and weighs 2.8 kg. She is healthy and feeding and sleeping well.

She was due on ANZAC day but didn't quite make it. A friend of ours had an ANZAC baby but they're living in England so they had another eight hours grace.

Work have been pretty good. I'd arranged for a weeks leave starting from the due date, they also gave me a week of standby and days off in the lead up. It was lucky that Caitlin was nice enough to arrive approximately on time. Unfortunately I'm away for five days from Saturday, though I can get carers leave if Mum isn't feeling up to tackling a new baby and a toddler by herself.

Good luck. First one? This was our second so it's been a bit easier knowing what to expect.

We're hoping she's like the first one who was literally sleeping through the night from six weeks on. Caitlin had a seven hour sleep this afternoon and is asleep again after a quick feed. Now we just have to get that sleeping pattern shifted to night time!
