Nathaniel Thomas, 7 months, 3 weeks and 1 day old. He’s very sweet, happy, and seems very strong and smart. The only thing wrong is the “excessive reflux” (constant barfing). It doesn’t seem to cause him any pain… he just throws up. A lot. The doctor keeps tells us that since it isn’t causing him pain or preventing him from gaining enough weight, it’s not that much of a problem and will go away eventually. He was 15 lbs, 3 oz at last check-up, but I think he’s gained a couple of pounds since.
2 weeks old today. 7lbs 10oz, 20 inches long with the healthiest set of lungs ya ever heard. I was screamin’ bloody murder before he was completely properly birthed.
He’s “silently refluxing” (cranky, but not puking) so he gets a mL of Mylanta before feedings, also non-dairy formula when we supplement and no dairy for Mom, either. He’s a much happier kiddo, now, then when we first brought him home.
Katherine Rose is 9 weeks old today and sleeping peacefully on my shoulder as I type Doing well after a rough start (2 weeks in the NICU due largely to negligence on the hospital’s part).
Unfortunately, I have to return to work next Monday so I’m savoring every moment with her.
sniff my baby boy isn’t a baby any longer. He’s 13 months old now! Waaah! I feel like I just brought his sister home and now my second one is over a year. Babies make your life slip into a time warp.
