Where “nnnnnnn” is the number of your post, which you can get by hovering over the post number.
For anyone else reading this thread with a similar question:
Standard protocol when you want to report your own post is to report the one immediately before or after it and explain in the message box what you need.
Right. And if there is no post before or after (for instance, if you’ve started the thread), just email the forum moderators and they’ll get to it.
I guess if people could report their own posts, the mods would get inundated with requests to fix things.
It’s not something WE have control over – vB put that little change in place with the last update we had a few years back. Prior to that time you could report your own post but vB removed that ability.
vB claims that function was being used to spam the email addresses of moderators and so by removing the function and not allowing you to report your own post the problem was solved.
No, it makes no sense to me either. But that’s what they did.
