The formula is Similac Advance, the blue kind*. I have 6 boxes, each containing 16 pre-measured packets for individual feedings.

Please don’t consider me rude for this, but I’d really prefer that these go to a family who is truly struggling and not someone who just jumps at opportunities for free stuff. If you fit the former criteria, or know someone who does, PM me and we’ll work something out.

Like I said, these are FREE. I’ll even cover shipping.

*These are just the ones I have on me at the moment. I may be able to get different types/brands as well; a friend of mine has trash bags full due to people trying to help out and buying the wrong kind you can’t return formula for some reason) If that interests you, please let me know what you’re looking for and I’ll see what I can do.

Is there a women’s shelter in your area? They would probably accept a donation.

I’d like to give as many away to people who are a bit more “personal,” if that makes any sense. But we definitely already discussed this & decided that whatever is left over, we’re going to dump off at a church. A woman’s shelter is an even better idea however, so I’ll mention that one to my friend.

She (or he) seems to want to give it to another Doper. As long as someone gets it, as you said, why does it matter?

Exactly, mshar253. The only possible reason I could think for preferring to give it through the SDMB would be because the OP wants some kind of recognition for the gift.

Of course, I’m not saying that is the case, but I am curious why she would limit her charity like that. IMHO, a women’s shelter is far better equipped to give out large amounts of supplies to needy women.
