What (army?) unit was this?

I worked in Kandahar Airfield recently (civilian contractor) and while I was there, there was a unit of the Army that I THINK arrived not too long after I did. They were wearing a shirt with what I THINK was the company or brigade or what have you logo (not sure what its called, might've been a motto) and I'm trying to track down what the heck that logo/motto said.
I know it was something like Hell's (?) (bombers? Angels? something). Sort of a devil on a bomb (I think... I know a lot of "thinks" in there. Blame it on early onset of senility but I cannot for the life of me remember the details. It was a rather overwhelming experience).

Does anyone know if there is a way to see what units were stationed in Kandahar (ideally with graphics for their logos)? This would've been Mar 08.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is really bugging me and I've not been able to narrow it down online.

Thanks!

The graphic you describe doesn't sound like an official army patch or unit insignia. Assuming you saw this on a t-shirt I would guess that it was a unit shirt that was designed by someone in the unit. The unit could have been anywhere from a platoon to a division, but I think it is rare for a unit larger than a battalion to have a unit t-shirt.

Unfortunately I think it is unlikely that anyone will be able to help you unless they have happened to see the same shirt.

There have been devil-on-bomb graphics for years. Various units dating back to WWII have used that motif, although not the same drawing of it.

Absent a good photo or somebody here on the Dope who was in Kandahar at the time, you're probably not gonna get an answer.

Also, unit movements are standard EEFI: stuff you don't generally want to talk about in public until long after the info is useless. If that unit was there a year ago, they may still be there. If I was still in the service, and had the info you seek, I wouldn't put it up on a public message board.

Hi guys,
THanks for the replies so far. Elendil's Heir, I think AmunRa hit it dead on. It was a tshirt and they only wore it for a brief period (I know that they just didn't leave cause I saw many of the same faces, but not the shirts).
LSLGuy, I totally understand, and I'm not really interested in the actual unit info so much as what the heck the logo/motto was. It's just been bugging me for the last few months cause I can't remember.

Do any of you have any links to these types of graphics by the way? It doesn't have to be current or active service. I'm hoping maybe if I see it Ill recognize it.

thanks in advance.
