This is the voting thread, the poll, for the SDMB Poetry Sweatshop, first discussed in this thread. The poems themselves can be found in the SDMB Poetry Sweatshop Anthology at this thread. Whether you intend to vote for your favourite poem or not, I would encourage you to read through the anthology. The words were quite difficult, and the results are fantastic.
And, of course, you are encouraged indicate in the above poll which of the poems was your favourite.

Sorry the poll took so long - I wanted to be absolutely sure that I had everyone included and their preferred edition of the poem flagged. All’s well now, I think. I hope.
Very tough to pick – there were a lot of really excellent poems!
Congrats to all who participated – I’m in awe of your talent.
It was very close for me, there were a lot of good poems, but there were two I’d almost call great. In the end it was almost arbitrary.
I’m really bummed out I couldn’t participate, I got home just now – though I’m not sure I would’ve been able to compete at all, it would have been worth it just to be part of this. Whenever this is done again, as I hope it will be, would somebody kindly shoot me a notification?
And thanks to Le Ministre for running this thing, even just reading through the poems has been tremendously rewarding.

A number of poetry boards have whole forums dedicated to challenges, if anyone is ever interested in such things.

P.S. I had to look up two of the words. Buttocked? Really?
Yeah, ‘buttocked’ was the adjective that Random Word Generator (Plus) gave me, on the list ‘Somewhat uncommon’.
I got a noun, adjective and a transitive verb - it’s too bad that it doesn’t seem to have the capacity to select ‘any of the above’ for either word type or complexity. I considered choosing from the ‘Obscure’ list until I tried it… “Anthyllis” “Subplexal” and “Regarrison” are the three it just gave me under obscure…
All impressive! I wish I had the cleverness and chops to actually make a sensibly rhyming poem.
It happens that in this batch, my favorites are non-rhyming: Yllaria’s and Angel of the Lord’s.
But they’re all really good.
Wish I’d entered mine in time. 
I was very impressed with Angel of the Lord’s poem, and I also liked AppallingGael’s. Honorable mention to Louisseau and koeeoaddi.
As for me? I’m not going to lie: I took a look at those words, thought about it for a few minutes and decided it wasn’t going to happen for me. I spent the afternoon writing something else, which I think went well. I hope this is the first of many of these contests, though.
I agree. I didn’t see this until this morning, but I might try a poem of my own anyway.
If there’s interest and as long as we have the blessings of the mods, I would happily do one of these every couple of months, or even monthly.
I’d also like to comment on how welcoming and supportive the board has been to all the poets.
Marley and I are both enthusiastic about this – I don’t see once a month as being too often.
These were wonderful poems, all! It’s hard to pick just one to be my favorite.
I look forward to the next one! I really hope we can make this a regular event!
I just wanted to thank everyone who checked in to read. Can’t speak for any the amazing poets who contributed, but I think I’d be buttocked to try this thing again. 
Gawd, what a butt ugly word.
I was at the starting line yesterday morning and briefly considered composing something, but mentally threw my hands up in the air when I saw the obligatory words…criminy! Everybody who actually put in the work and submitted did great…Elendil’s Heir made me laugh…clever way to dodge knowing what to do with “buttocked.” Barking Dog’s imagery overcame the brevity, and very erudite…mixing mythologies. Angel’s submission was effective, in that it makes me hungry…always a good sign. And regarding tracy jo’s, I absolutely know there’s a sign at the entrance to some single silo town in (northwestern?) Iowa that calls itself “The Shining Buckle” on the Bible Belt or Corn Belt or something like that…I passed it in a stupor several years ago…if anybody knows, give a shout…anyway, good job y’all!
