I can’t say the answers will come fast.
Wouldn’t you rather have a built-in keyboard, like my T-Moblie G1?
(Sorry, just being a knee-jerk Android partisan. Some of my best friends are iPhone and iTouch people.)
Well I’d rather just have a keyboard. Can’t say I’ve used the other two but if I can use them to type from a prone position on the couch I may give them a try
I love my iTouch (when I can get decent Wifi coverage for it. Grr.) I’ve even used it for the Dope once or twice too but I’d prefer a keyboard. (I just chalked it up to “You Know You’re Addicted to the Dope When” syndrome)
well I’m at work with ample Internet access now but for this thread I’m continuing to type on my iTouch. And yes I know it’s an iPod touch. I think it’s funny to call it an iTouch
It’s not an iTouch! It’s never been an iTouch! There is no such thing as an iTouch!
Whew…needed to get that out.
iPod Touch people, iPod Touch. That is all.
Isn’t it true that iTouch sounds better?

Ooh, I have a practical yet dumb question. Can you download files and access them offline? Like, say, if I went to a wifi spot and downloaded bus schedules, then later was near a bus stop but not near wifi, could I just check the schedule I downloaded before?
I’m typing from an iPhone, can you tell?
Are you comfortable carrying it in a pocket along with keys, wallet, and cellphone? I was thinking of getting one but it seems like I’d have a lot to carry, so maybe the Nano is better.
Yes, with a but. Anything you dl is accessible offline as long as retrieving it doesn’t require going online to use it. So if you pull up the bus schedule you can see it offline but probably can’t go searching for more. Also doesn’t come with wifi so you have to leech where you can
Nope!
I usually have it in a dress shirt pocket. Slides right in. But yeah it can be just another thing to lug around all day
Do you prefer typing on the virtual keyboard in portrait or landscape mode? I prefer landscape, due to the bigger keyboard
as far as dropping an iDevice in your pocket with keys and other stuff, I do it with my iPhone, admittedly, I do have a Invisible Shield screen protector on it, and the phone itself is in an OtterBox Defender case with a pocket-clip-less belt holster on it to protect the screen, nothing can damage the screen that way
and yes, I posted this post from said iPhone, can’t you tell?
Is it jailbroken? If not, why not? If yes, get this keyboard hack:
(Sent from my iPhone)
The screen is pretty scratch-resistant. I tried a protector on my iPhone, but it wasn’t very invisible. I couldn’t press all the bubbles out from under it. I have a protective skin for the back and edges, but I let the screen go naked. I just put it in my jeans pocket with all the keys, money clip, and other metal objects and it has never picked up any scratches. Your mileage may vary, of course.
I cast Balance and sacrifice all of my land to the Zuran Orb. What are you gonna do about it?
Can you jailbreak an itouch? I didn’t know that. My wife has the iPhone but it’s not broken because it voids the warrenty
Landscape As well here. My touch doesn’t have any scratches on it. It’s not theft resistant though. This is my second. Heh. At least the first came with the iMac
Curse your name and tell you that, even if it takes the rest of the game, Armageddon even with you.
