Contest: predict how many posts will ultimately be made in this thread

Rules:

[li]The OP is post #1.[/li][li]Each person is allowed 1 vote.[/li][li]Anyone breaking the SMDB rules/guidelines in trying to get this thread to close at some # of posts does so at their own risk![/li][li]Moderators are allowed to vote, but closing the thread in order to win would be… frowned upon.[/li][/ul]

The answer is…42

What is the prize?

**The prize: **

I am too biased a participant (my posts could affect whether anyone wins or not) to offer my usual prize of a home made rum-cured bbq hot dog pumpkin-mustard holiday layer cake (with spicy marshmallow crust). The winner will harbor his or her accomplishment alone, unrecognized, with silent pride, acknowledged only by the occasionally irrepressible twinkle of self-knowing satisfaction as the two of you bring the rum bath up to temperature for the the pre-bbq sous-vide. That’s right, the winner shall be allotted:

A recipe for one rum-cured bbq hot dog pumpkin-mustard holiday layer cake (with spicy marshmallow crust).

I actually have a very complicated system for situations just like this. As far as I can tell,
the answer will be…4.

I’ll be over there waiting to see if I’m right… ------------->

Since most posts are never closed they just drift into oblivion down the page the real question is when do we decide it’s done?

Giving it a deadline of posts within 2010 I’m going to state that the thread will have 91 posts.

Also, D/a that’s some impressive logic

Moving from IMHO to the Game Room.

HEY I WANT ONE MORE POST UNDER MY POST COUNT TOO!!!

caps!

97

The problem with this is that there is no gloating.

I’ll go with 47.

I think the threadkiller will get his kicks with Post #66.

No, I don’t mean his/her kicks – I’m guessing the final contribution will be made by a male.

I predict 14 posts.

Aw, damnit!

I don’t know, no wait!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

More than 17.

18

…d’oh!

I’m a good thread-killer – so 19.

You lose.
