Brian Gore (29) and his wife Shannon (25), I hope rot their miserable selves away in a scum infested prison.
This lovely couple had their home investigated for a burglarythis week where a healthy 1 month old baby boy was found along with a nude malnourished 5-6 year old girl covered in feces locked in a crib covered with a piece of plywood, along with corpse of another child found buried in a backyard shed.
There’s a spot in hell next to Bin-Laden waiting on this duo.
How can people do this? Seriously? I work with criminals on a regular basis… and this kind of depravity still shocks me.
I represented one lady at a preliminary hearing who was charged with child neglect (not quite this level, but close). She ended up retaining counsel, because I told her that a jury trial in her case would be a really, really stupid thing to do. She did plea eventually, and I see her around town occassionally. I wouldn’t piss on her if she were on fire.
I represent a lot of folk who do some pretty awful things, ranging from the idiotic to the horrific. But I’ve never been so bothered by a client than this lady.
I’ve never understood (and maybe I don’t want to understand) how these people can spend more time and energy abusing their kids then just getting rid of them. I mean, why didn’t these people just dump their kids off at a church or fire station if they didn’t want to bother with them? At least the kids would have some chance then.
These people seem to have a need to actually hurt other people. It’s sad.
The link in the OP doesn’t say burglary, just “an unrelated matter.” Did another report say it was burglary? I guess I’m curious to know if it was a burglary that they had reported.
I once had a part-time coworker who also worked for Child Protection Services.
She told me about a case in which four siblings, ranging from 6 to 13 were taken from their parents, because the parents would sell them. Being the naive teen I was I asked, “Isn’t slavery illegal?” And was told they didn’t sell them permanently, just for an hour or half hour at a time. I nearly threw up.
It’s amazing what people will do to those weaker than themselves.
I just heard on the news tonight, the “parents” “can’t remember” if she is 6 or 7! Read somewhere else she was eating her own skin off her forehead. Everyday I listen to this sick ass story I get more & more infuriated. Friggin sell tickets … Let people kick the shit out of them. Let them suffer at least a fraction of what these innocent children have.
It seems they would be eligible for the death penalty if the dead child is shown to have been the victim of “willful, deliberate and premeditated murder of a person under the age of 14 by a person over the age of 21.” So if the one child died accidentally, of sheer neglect, that doesn’t count? The imprisoned, starved child, who has apparently barely survived, doesn’t come into it?
Virginia right now is generally in favor the death penalty, but for all the aggravating/qualifying factors that can “elevate” a murderer to capital status, being a sick fuck who tortures children for some reason isn’t among them.
Let me say that, as a Virginian with enormous reservations about the death penalty, if we’re to have one at all, I’d like that to be in there.
Thanks for sharing the link. I read it all the way through. Took me a while - had to keep stopping. (“Allergies.”) What really got me was the mother’s attitude when she was interviewed near the end: she seemed to genuinely have no idea what went wrong. (“I never knew a dirty house was against the law… He said she was starving. I told him me and my sisters were all skinny till we were 13.”)
Words fail me. People like this are allowed to just indiscriminately breed, and create so much misery in the world, and for what? If it takes eugenics to keep people like that woman from procreating, well, then … would that be the lesser of two evils?
The one-month-old in the OP sounds like a lucky kid, to be found so soon after being born. I mean, compared to the alternative …
