New Muppets Google Doodle

In honor of Jim Henson’s 75th birthday, you can be a muppeteer.

What does it do? (I have no sound.)

There is no sound element. Try clicking on the button under one of the muppets, and then moving your mouse around.

clicking the mouse does stuff as well

You can get his glasses to fly off.

But other than a character following the cursor, the only animation I’ve found is the one ScissorJack mentions.

You have to click on the buttons.

I got the red one to eat the tall one!

For the glasses guy I click on him, and then move the mouse up and down quickly.
For the red monster eating the tall one, I click on the red one then rest my mouse on the tall one.

If there are other animations would anybody care to post them?

I like that they put what the doodle was for at the top. I don’t see the point in making the user click just to figure out what’s going on, nor in having to modify the search results so that they tell you.

Google always has mouseover text to explain the doodle.

If you click on the blue one on the left side and move the cursor up and down a lot, eventually a blue bar appears behind the entire doodle.

But, dang it, there should TOTALLY be audio with this.

Awww I went to the Google homepage and I can’t see it. I’m living in Asia so maybe it’s already too late :frowning:

I thought there was supposed to be sound too! I spent *way *too much time this morning trying to fix it!

If you have iGoogle or your most used tabs set to load when you open the browser, you won’t see it. I had to switch to Firefox or some other browser that I hardly ever use to see it.

Control key opens mouths

That is much better for “puppetry” than clicking on the hand button (and having to move the mouse, and therefoe the character, away for the prevoius location). Thanks!

The active Muppet watches the cursor.

What does the Snuffy one do?

…as does space bar and arrow keys.

F6 or F4 causes the currently selected muppet to keep its mouth open.
