I saw what you did there.
I hate, hate, hate the animated ones. Incredibly annoying and since the doodles are buried in special JavaScript, there’s no simple way to stop them all.
So, no. Far from cool.
Someone’s close to being sent off to bed without supper. Can’t you just Google from a toolbar? That way you bypass the doodles while still leaving them around for the rest of us.
It’s just a still image for me.
Or use Advanced Search. That never runs the doodles, BUT it does show a non-animated version of them in the corner of the screen. That way if you have the time, you can click on that graphic, be taken to the ‘regular’ Google page, and enjoy the animation (or whatever is there).

Having read his books to my kids some 20 years ago, better.
I enjoyed listening to his last interview with Terry Gross on Fresh Air a few years ago.
