Best episode this season by a mile. Already, “British Fonzie” (as a nickname for Neil Gaiman) is trending on Twitter and I think will stick to him for life. The ridiculous “publish” button on the computer was hilarious. Some good lines: “Are you R.L. Stine? Because you are giving me Goosebumps!” “So you found out your favorite writer is a dinosaur.” Etc. Also liked Lisa’s “writing” habits. Lots of fun was had.
I haven’t been watching this season, but this was classic Simpson. Loved the shout out to The Far Side.
bathtub reference to Breaking Bad.
It was the first new one I’ve watched in years. I just randomly tuned in. Pretty good.
Trolliest episode I’ve seen in a while!
you know Moe had to be a major character in any story with them.
I didn’t see this one when I put my AD thread…but I’ll post my comments about Simpsons
A good one overall! pretty original and quite funny
“I got the idea from every movie ever made”
Weirdly enough, same here. I hadn’t watched Simpsons in ages until this episode. Kind of pleased that I randomly caught a Neil Gaiman cameo. And I loved the Far side tribute - felt like classic Simpsons.
Worth hitting the pause button for: The background poster of THE GIRL WITH THE “HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON” TATTOO.
I was trying to remember where I saw those three smoking dinosaurs from! Nevermind that I saw that comic literally two days ago…
Same here. Must have been some weird programming convergence that caused us all to tune in after a long Simpsons sabbatical.
Once Upon a Time wasn’t on.
No, that’s not it. Me, I was just killing time until The Walking Dead, and decided to check out The Simpsons.
Same here. Haven’t watched an original Simpsons in a couple of years. By the end I was telling myself I need to watch more Simpsons.
Best episode I’ve seen in a long time!
I mostly enjoyed it, but hated how they reset-button’d away the money.
I really enjoyed it, and thought it was interesting that they broadcast a writing-themed episode on the same day as many ‘National Novel Writing Month’ mid-way events worldwide, including the big fundraiser dinner in San Fran.
