Please Pray For My Dondra?

We haven't been able to keep her blood pressure up, and I keep having to follow her around so that she doesn't fall. She has been in the hospital three times in the last year.

I'm sure that since Dondra's back in the hospital, he's just away from his computer for now and will update us as soon as he's able. Hopefully, that doesn't mean anything bad, only that their really busy with her care and that she's resting comfortably and will be back home soon.

I kept misreading this thread title as 'Please Pay for My Dondra?"... and I thought of it when I saw a collection box for the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation in a store I was in today. So there's a twoonie with Dondra's name on it (figuratively, at least) out there, in support of Quasi and his lovely Dondra.

I guess what I need is my ass kicked, Typo Knig. She needed a meds adjustment only, not, as I wrote Becks2cents, a wimp of a husband. Trying to get some kind of normalcy going again. Thank goodness Jason and Susan are here for us.

Bill, give yourself a break. You are not a wimp. It's just about impossible to keep it together when your SO is seriously ill. Been there, done that myself. I'm glad to hear you have local folks you can turn to. You also have us SDMBers to turn to - call on us at will. Hang in there!

Jason and Susan are our son and daughter in law, and they've been a great help, and I wouldn't mind them staying here as long as they wish. We certainly have the room for them.

Typo Knig you and MamaZappa have met her (at the last Alzheimer's Conference, when you took the trouble to have dinner with us), and I'm sure y'all, as does everyone, fell in love with her easy manner.

Whatever I'm not, she is, and she's the perfect complement to me. Thanks to everyone for offering the strength and the help.

Whether or not you think I'm a wimp, I need you guys a lot, so THANKS VERY MUCH FOR THE LOVE!
