Dear mods/admins,
I was recently banned for what I believe to be a misunderstanding in the intent of one of my threads. I posted a small paragraph that someone had thought plagiarized, after having discovered the same in a different forum. This is a misunderstanding: the paragraph entitled "Liberty like a fire threatens liberty"was authored by me in both websites. So please unban me, i’d like to continue my membership in this community and benefit from its collective wisdom.
PS - you deserve to be banned. You cannot simply spread your shit all over the internet. We require a little more than that.
ETA - all you did was post your screed. You took no effort to engage in a thoughtful discussion.
This is not a blog for you to paste your manifesto. If you have a topic for discussion, present it as a viable argument and give your supporting points.
But ya gotta promise to play with us. As zoid said earlier, posting great swathes of text does not do anything to endear new posters to us old farts. You must engage!
A link would be good. You had an existing user id, which you have certainly used before and are using in this thread, but it sounds like you created another one to post the information which got that user id banned. Is that right?
Why didn’t you use the user id you’re using now in the thread that got “you” banned? It might have looked less like spam coming from an existing user rather than a brand new one. And if you still have this old user id, why do you care if the new one has been banned?
I’ll second the motion to email the moderators and explain the situation.
