There wasn’t a thread, so here we go.
No book talk please.
Well, that was fucking great. The opening sword fight was awesome, great performances all around, Ygritte naked (yowza), plots. Olenna Tyrell continuing to kill it!

Bonus fetus jars. Actually I am not even sure those were fetuses, one of them looked big enough to be like four years old at least.
I cracked up when Tywin commanded Cersei to marry Loras. They should have had Tyrion grin at her.
I actually don’t even get Cersei’s smug ass look in that scene. Tyrion is being given a hot wife and the keys to the north, clearly an upgrade to his current position, and she’s acting like they just sent him off to clean up the stables.
Great episode.
The scene with Lady Tyrell and Tyrion was hilarious. She shot him down and insulted him until he was at a loss… and then she basically gave him what he wanted.
Some viewers had commented on the lack of nudity so far this season by the main characters. Well, tonight we got Ygritte (yes!), Jamie, and even Brienne in the buff.
Speaking of… the scene with Jamie and Brienne in the bath was really excellent. Nice job by the actors.
The swordfight at the beginning was, indeed, awesome.
I didn’t see that coming at the end, with Tywin telling Tyrion to marry Sansa. And then Tywin wiping the smirk off Cersei’s face with his intentions for her to wed Loras. Perfect.
I agree. Jamie lost his Dennis Leary smirk, and actually emoted. Brienne cleans up pretty good; I’d like to see more of that Amazon bod.
I was wondering about Jaime Lannister’s conversation with Brienne. Everyone seems to know and hate him as the Kingslayer, but I also thought everyone knew how nuts and murderous that king was.
Call me shallow, but when Jaime and Brienne were in the bath, I wanted her to dunk him, wash his face and hair, and then say “Okay, now you can talk.”
Because from everyone elses POV he served right until the very end and when the Mad King lost he turned on him to save his own ass.
Tyrion is being “given” a very young wife who thought she was marrying a handsome, noble, knight. (She doesn’t know about the gay thing.) Now she’ll be married to a scarred dwarf–a member of the family who killed her father. In front of her. Sansa has been living in fear of the Lannisters & the Tyrells offered her a way out.
Cersei & Tywin both know that, behind the drunken whoremonger act, Tyrion is rather sensitive. He’s being put into an awkward situation.
The scene of Tywin browbeating his kids into really unfortunate marriages was HILARIOUS. I was laughing out loud when Tyrion realized that Tywin intended him to marry Sansa. Then he tell Cersei she is to marry Loras.
Thinking about it, Tywin is going to be pissing off Margaery, who clearly wants Sansa to marry Loras, probably for just the reasons Tywin suspects. And Margaery is working Joffrey very well. Now Cersei and Margaery have a cause for alliance … neither wants Cersei to marry Loras. And of course, Littlefinger has plans for Sansa that do not involve Tyrion. So Tyron and Littlefinger may be allies. I sense plots thickening!
On a more practical matter, I don’t see why the Tyrion and Cersei can’t do as royals have done for centuries: marry whom they are ordered/expected to marry, and carry on with their lovers on the side: Tyrion can keep his whore and Cersei can fuck what’s left of Jamie, if he ever makes it back to King’s Landing.
The little princess who was locked in the tower, with what appears to be scales on her face…what do you think her story is going to be? Any relation to the Targaryans?
That occurred to me as well, but it seems a little too “literal.”
I looked up the issue with her face but won’t say anything as I don’t know what has or hasn’t been mentioned on the series yet. Someone that knows better can jump in.
With the way the tub scene was framed and edited, Brienne was obviously using a butt double.
I think this was by far the best episode of the entire series. It’s funny how Tyrion is left a babbling fool after being such a fucking know-it-all up to this point.
Suffice to say a NSFW image search will satisfy your curiosity.
Robb has won every engagement he’s fought in but he’s not doing such a good job of leading the men of the north, is he?
I don’t know why they’d need a butt double for Brienne as the actress does not seem to have any problem taking her clothes off for a camera.
Poor Arya, everybody leaves her.
More naked Jon Snow, please.
Book reader here : I had been wondering about this character appearance in the show, so I would have noticed, I think : AFAIK, nothing had been mentioned in previous episodes.
I didn’t watch this episode yet, so I don’t know if there’s any more infos in it, however.
She’s Stannis’ and Selyse’s daughter, the only living child she has given him. Her relation to the Targaryens is the same as any other Baratheon’s.
Yeah, so far this season every episode has been better than the last.
