How many championships have "your teams" won since you started following them?

As a Lakers-Dodgers-Rams (L.A. only) & USC football fan, I probably have something of an embarrassment of riches by comparison to others:

Dodgers (fan since 1971): 81, 88
Lakers (fan since 1980): 80, 82, 85, 87, 88, 00, 01, 02, 09, 10
USC (fan since 1972): 72, 74, 78 (UPI Poll), 03 (AP Poll), 04 (and not giving it back, regardless of NCAA sanctions)
L.A. Rams (fan since 1971 until they left for St. Louis): none

Total: 17

Phillies 2 World Series
Redskins 3 Super Bowls

Hard to believe they’ve managed 5 titles together

Seattle Seahawks. 1 (2914)

Seattle Mariners. 0

Baltimore Orioles. None for the years I was following them, 1972 to 1980

Baltimore Colts. Same

Yankees (since 1976): 7
New York Giants: 4
New York Knicks (I wasn’t following them in 1970): 1
New York Rangers: 1

13

Cleveland Indians last won the WS the year before I was born: 0
Cleveland Browns have won a few in my lifetime, but only one
since I old enough to follow them in 1964: 1
Cleveland Cavaliers I don’t really follow but they’ve won none: 0
Boston Bruins (I started following hockey in college and there
is no Cleveland team) won the Stanley Cup in 1970 1972 2011: 3

For a total of 4

Bears: 1
Cubs: 0
Hawks: 2
Bulls: 6

9 total

Tottenham Hotspur. 0.

Still, it might happen next year… (supporting Spurs is proof of the triumph of hope over experience.)

Colts. Just one.

Chicago Bears: 1 - Super Bowl XX
Chicago Cubs: 0 and by the look of things is ain’t gonna happen in my lifetime. :dubious:

Another Clevelander, here. So, zero.

But I also usually root for the Steelers and the Packers, and they’ve had a few.

No, it likely will not happen in my lifetime as well :frowning:
A few years ago when they looked like they had a chance my daughter asked me if I would cry if the Cubs won the World Series and I told her I’d cry like a baby with no shame whatsoever. She still gives me shit about that.

Detroit Lions: 0
Detroit Tigers: 1
Detroit Pistons: 3
Detroit Red Wings: 4
U of Michigan Basketball: 1
U of Michigan Football: 1
American Men’s Tennis Davis Cup: 1

11

I followed all since the early 80’s except American Men’s Tennis, which I only was following over the last 12 years or so.

Alabama has 8 in my lifetime, but the one in 1965 was shortly after I was born, so the first one I remember was 1973. Guess that makes 7 since I’ve been following them.

The New Orleans Saints have only 1, but how sweet it was…

I’m a Cleveland Indians fan, born in the 70s. I just had to laugh.

So, uh, I’m pretty lucky. I grew up on the eastern side of CT, where it’s about 75% Boston sports fans, and both of my parents were from Mass, so that solidified that. I also grew up about 30 minutes from the University of Connecticut. As a result of that combination, I really couldn’t give half a damn about college football other than how much it’s ruining my beloved college basketball, and “my” teams have won a ton of championships since I got old enough to care about sports in the mid-90s.

Oh, and I did my undergrad at Johns Hopkins, where I learned the joys of lacrosse.

Since I started following the teams:

UConn Men’s Basketball: 1999, 2004, 2011, 2014
UConn Women’s Basketball: 1995, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014
Johns Hopkins Men’s Lacrosse: 2005, 2007
Boston Bruins: 2011
Boston Celtics: 2008
New England Patriots: 2001, 2003, 2004
Boston Red Sox: 2004, 2007, 2013

2006 was a rough year.

I don’t want to sound spoiled, but if the US Men could win a World Cup, that would just be swell.

P.S. I’m currently in a graduate program at Boston College, and since neither UConn nor JHU had a serious hockey team (though UConn just recently moved up to D1 and into a real conference), I got pretty into BC hockey this year, went to a bunch of games including the NCAA regional in Worcester. The team lost in the Frozen Four this past week, but if you wanted to set odds on future championships…

Indianapolis Colts (since 1995): 1
Indiana Pacers (since 1994): 0
Washington Nationals (since 2005): 0
North Central (H.S.) Panthers men’s basketball: 2 that I know of

Mets: twice, in 69 and 86.
Jets: Once, in 1969.
Union College NCAA Division I Hockey: Once. Today.

I’m going out on a limb and predict the Cavs will get one. Dan Gilbert may seem like a prick, but he’s a passionate owner and not afraid to open his wallet. And although unlikely, Lebron could return. With just a little luck… oh wait, sorry. :o

University of Alabama Football-6
I was too young to really remember much about the 1973 championship, so I’ll list 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009, 2011 and 2012.
UA Gymnastics-6 1988, 1991, 1996, 2002, 2011 and 2012.
UA Men’s Golf-1 2013
UA Women’s Golf-1 2013
UA Softball-1 2012

Clevelander born in 1979. None.
