after years of insomnia I have found a few ploys to regulate sleeping and "thinking" patterns. They may not work for you, but they might be worth a try. Start going to the gym, or doing cardiovascular exercise (running, jumprope). This should exhaust mind and body and provide for sounder sleep. DONT USE COFFEE, if you need a pick me up in the mornings try grapefruit juice and get some Tiger Balm (you should be able to get it from chinese stores) - rub a small portion of it into the sides of your temples, these are pressure points which help to make you more mentally alert. Eat lots of fruit and green vegitables rather than taking shop bought vitamins, and leave your main meal until the afternoon or evening.
