The scene I remember:
Vincent Price and Peter Lorre are having a wine tasting contest to see who can identify the most wines. Price is comically prim and proper, whereas Lorre is just as comically drunk and disheveled, but holds his own in the contest.

That's it. I searched IMDB but they've been in so many movies together I couldn't tell which one.

Thanks SD movie buffs!!

That would be TALES OF TERROR. A trilogy, if I remember it correctly.

Was Boris Karloff also in the movie? And a young Jack Nicholson?

I think you're thinking of The Raven (1963), one of a series of Poe-inspired movies written by Richard Matheson and starring Vincent Price. Tales of Terror and Comedy of Terrors are the others, IIRC.

Thank you all very much.

And a special 'shout-out' to the Bib-man. Shoot, I was so anxious to get an answer that I didn't even notice the new forum.

Is that the same Tales of Terror that had a version of Toby Dammit by Fellini? And Jane Fonda in Metzingerstein? Does anyone know? If it was I think think there were 4 short films, not three.
