I use Firefox and don’t have it set to detect proxy settings, and my wife uses IE and she doesn’t isn’t detecting proxy settings either.
I’m wondering now if wpad isn’t the problem. Even though the modem/router gives the error, we lose all Internet connection…from Instant Messenger to my wife’s Second Life connection. The Modem itself says we have Internet connection though. Next time it happens I’m going to do a tracert for 74.125.155.104 (Google) and see how far the trace goes.
