What actors have been in the most non-related films together?

And Sudden Impact.

Plus Jewel of the Nile?

Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis.

Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino.

Errol Flynn and Alan Hale.

Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis.

Robert Redford and Paul Newman.

Corey Feldman and Corey Haim, seven movies together.

The Lost Boys
License to Drive
Dream a Little Dream
Blown Away
National Lampoon’s Last Resort
Dream a Little Dream 2
Busted

If you want to leave out Dream a Little Dream 2 since it’s a sequel, that’s still six.

I count 24, which holds the record for this thread for non-silent films.

Jewel of the Nile is a sequel to Romancing the Stone.

Waiting For Guffman, Best In Show, A Mighty Wind, and For Your Consideration all contained the same cadre of actors. Many were in all four:

Christopher Guest (obviously)
Catherine O’Hara
Larry Miller
Parker Posey
Bob Balaban
Eugene Levy
Michael Hitchcock

… and maybe some others I’m missing.

This is Spinal Tap used many of them, as well.

Sure. Stuff that isn’t directed by her boyfriend.

Was Fred Willard in all of them?

Yes. He played the Air Force Base dude in Spinal Tap.

Probably doesn’t count, but what the hey.

Though they usually played characters with the same names, there was rarely any continuity or suggestion that any of the Three Stooges shorts or films were related other than starring the same 3 leads (obviously with the 3rd lead changing at a few points).

A lot of the shorts even had the same supporting castmembers over and over as different characters each time.

Oh, this is not only a zombie, but someone already mentioned Moe & Larry.

Never mind…

:smack: WOO WOO WOO

Tracy and Hepburn: 8, 25 years.

My point exactly.

That disqualifies it from the thread. We’re looking for unrelated movies that star the same actors.

Ronald Colman and Vilma Banky made five silent pictures together.

A 14-month-old thread (when appended, with (only) 35 posts) is a zombie? Would you really want another new thread started so soon, only to collect a lot of the same responses?

Billy Crystal and Bruno Kirby were in “When Harry Met Sally”, “Spinal Tap,” and “City Slickers” together.

The last post is by someone who wanted to link to his or her blog. I deleted the link (and banned the person as a spammer) but left the post as an actual answer to the question.
