Ted Koppel's stepping down.

I haven’t watched Leno and Letterman in years. Nightline has consistently been the best half-hour of television for as long as I can remember, and its host is retiring. Who’s going to take his place? ABC has long wanted a challenge for L/L. I’ve don’t have cable and have never seen John What’shisname but maybe it’s time for him to take over the time slot?

Jon Stewart?

Well…Comedy Central is owned by MTV, which is owned by Viacom, who also owns CBS.

On the whole, unlikely, unless Stewart’s contract is up or close to it.
