How Does One Find a Collector's Club?

I work in a museum, and one of our volunteers has a much-treasured item passed down from an old friend. Long story short, it’s a Betty Crocker item from the 1920s and she’d like to know more about it.

I was able to find some sparse information on the 'net for her, but I don’t think it was quite what she was looking for. Now, I’m trying to find a club of people who collect Betty Crocker items, and I’m having no luck.

The 'net is a wonderful tool. There are people out there who collect all sorts of things, and you can find most of them by dilligent searching. However, I’m having no luck with this one, and I’m getting frustrated.

Does anyone know of a way to search for clubs which might help me?

Not to be obvious, but has she tried contacting Betty Crocker itself?

Find the item or a similar on on EBay. Write to the seller.

Better yet, go to the eBay forums. You will find folks there that do not sell on eBay but will offer advice to anyone that is interested. I have some Doctor Doolittle plaques from 1967 that were part of a Folgers coffee premium. I couldn’t find a thing about them but a member of the eBay forums had all the info I wanted.
