What is "Pussy Poppin"?

Is this term in rap music slang or literal? If it’s literal, how do ladies pop their coochies?

Never heard it but it sounds like sex to me.

maybe something to do with the sound that the penis+vagina+air sometimes make during sex.

Praise Luke Skyywalker.

It’s just a sex metaphor. Pop that coochie, as in puncture the orifice with a penis. Of course as with any pop culture/sex slang it gets used for multiple meanings of various correctness.

 Eeeeeeew! This is definitely going on the “list of things of which we do not speak”. Makes “bearded clam” sound positively lyical :stuck_out_tongue:

People. People!

“Pussy poppin” can refer to sexual acts, but it is commonly used to describe a dance style. I’m terrible at describing things, but if this doesn’t help, check just about any rap video. Anyway, imagine a girl standing there, knees shoulder-width apart. She then takes her crotch and (without moving her upper torso) “pops” it forward. Also, it can be where a girl is dancing and leans back, tilting her pevis up, so a guy can “pop it” AKA simulate sex.

My friend had a cheer coach that would yell out, “POP THEM COOCHIES, GIRLS!” Yeah.

Somehow, that does not remove the mental bad aftertaste. But thanks for enlightening us anyway!

DB, true but the sex metaphor predates the dance. The first references I know of are 2 Live Crew, who used the phrase to mean sex in their earliest albums and then in '91 released a dance track called Pop that Pussy which detailed the dance and may or may not have been the creation of it.

“Pussy Poppin’”? Sounds like a title for a porn parody of a Disney classic.

and I thought no one named dance styles anymore. We’ve come a long way from the frug and twist

Well, in fairness it is about 20 years old…hell, I think that predates the electric slide and certainly the macarena. shudder

Heh.

“Just a spoonful of street rock and the crack whore’ll go down…”

I have the unfortunate knowlege of what a pussy pop is, and it isn’t a dance.

And I thought my side of the family were wackos…
