Conclusion of "Sweet Chastity" story arc

In the 1980s, Penthouse magazine ran an erotic soap-opera comic series called “Sweet Chastity” – drawn by Ron Embleton and written by Frederic Mullally, the same team that did the earlier Penthouse comic “Oh, Wicked Wanda!” http://www.subtextopedia.com/Wanda/ Embleton died in 1988 and the strip abruptly ended in mid-story-arc with a lot of crucial plot points unresolved. Has Mullally ever let the world know how they intended to conclude the final story arc?

My mistake. According to this article – http://www.toonopedia.com/wanda.htm – “Sweet Chastity” was not scripted by Mullally, but by publisher Bob Guccione himself.

Same question applies.

Nobody knows?

Did understanding to story arc involve reading printed words, rather than just looking at the pictures?

Because that might be your problem right there. No one gets Penthouse for the articles. (Unless you count the Forum.)

Yes.

OTOH, Embleton’s artistic style was so distinctive I couldn’t imagine Guccione hiring a substitute.

Nobody knows?

Starting to look like it, eh? I’ve got to say, the plotting in Sweet Chastity always looked a little casual to me. I wouldn’t be surprised if no wrap up had actually been thought through. It’s been a long time, though, and I always liked *Wicked Wanda * better, so I could be way off.
