Why is Damon so pissed at Kimmel?

I found a link to a video clip of Matt Damon swearing and yelling at Jimmy Kimmel. Ca anyone put a context to the argument?

Anyway, let’s try that again.

Running gag. Kimmel has often said at the end of shows, “Apologies to Matt Damon, we ran out of time.” On his 3 and 3/4 year anniversary (not 100th) Kimmel got Damon on the show, took several minutes to introduce him (literally), and then, once he finally sat down, told him they were out of time and asked, “Can you come back tomorrow?” Then came the tirade.

That might have made more sense.

So is Matt Damon in on the gag? I’m assuming he wasn’t really mad, right?

so this was like Kimmel’s snake bite gag?

I was assuming that it was because Damon had actually watched some of Kimmel’s show. That’s enough to annoy the most level-headed person.

Actually, I just checked Wikipedia and it says the whole thing is a gag.
