Admission time. When I was a kid and we’d watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang every time it was on, I thought they were saying “Old Man’s Shoe” in that song.
“Me Ol’ Bamboo” was the only fun number in a dreadfully dull movie.
The only other positive angle to “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” was that Dick Van Dyke had learned his lesson, and didn’t even TRY to sound English!

I see the parody, though does “Me Ole Bamboo” actually make sense in context?
