The last time I was in the US was in 95 and I never saw any books like these in any book stores or libraries. Can anyone tell me if books like these are on the shelves at “Walden Books” now?
Here’s some more stuff on Amerian imperialism. The first three links give a good summary. I posted the long list below of articles and videos if anyone wants to see the details.
Why don’t you tell us your views rather than linking to hours of videos no one has the time to watch? And why do you keep posting this stuff in the Pit?
If we want to know what other people have to say about something, we can find it on our own. A member of this message board is expected to contribute their own thoughts, not a digest of everyone else’s.
Not clicking on any of your links. If you actually have something to say, say it. You mention your experiences abroad- I challenge you to make a whole post about your views with zero links. Are you capable of it?
Here’s a third possible explanation for the response (and one that has the advantage of being the real one):
You’re an annoying fuckwit who arrogantly posts reading and viewing assignments to total strangers. If anything you’re advocating actually has any validity, I’m confident that my attention will be drawn to it by a source that is not an annoying fuckwit.
Do you have any idea how many of your videos are not available or are set to private viewing?
Did you even watch these videos or are you just blindly posting links someone else gave you?
Dipshit.
You might want to visit the US this century to get up to date. Waldenbooks is bankrupt and gone. B Dalton’s is gone. Crown Books is gone. Borders is gone. Barnes and Noble is still around, and Books-A-Million seems to kind of be hanging on. I’m sure you can find tons of “US as imperialist” literature at Amazon.
But frankly, you would probably never find such books in a Waldenbooks when it existed, because those stores sold primarily magazines, books for tweens, shitty science fiction, a thousand copies of each Dave Barry book ever made, and coffee table books with large colorful pictures of the guns of World War II. It’s like looking for LGBT performance art at Blockbuster Video: you’re doing shopping wrong.
I’ve spoken to lots of people from third world countries who didn’t know each other and they all say the same thing. What they say is consistent with what those articles and videos say.
If you insist, I can give a short summary.
The US government sends the CIA to install a puppet government in a small country whose resources big American companies want. The puppet president lets the American companies exploit the country and he gets a commision from the companies.
You can get the details by reading the articles and watching the videos.
This should be enough for any objective thinking person.
