007 fans, a question

Who was this character (and in what film): a stocky Chinese assassin who flung a bowler hat with a razor-sharp brim?

Thanx!

Oddjob, Goldfinger, and he was Korean.

Odd Job. Goldfinger.

P.S. Odd Job was electrocuted in Fort Knox. God rest his soul.

But in the book he was sucked out the window of an airplane.

Strangely, the screenwriters assigned Oddjob’s death to Goldfinger. In the novel, I recall that Goldfinger was merely throttled to death by Our Hero.

Uke

Thanx, one and all!

Uke, the movie also changed the classic confrontation scene between Bond and Goldfinger. In the book, Goldfinger strapped a naked Bond to a seatless chair and beat him with a cane. Now, THAT’S Hollywood!

Sorry, Guy, the seatless chair scene was from the novel CASINO ROYALE. Le Chiffre did it to him.

GOLDFINGER (the movie) DID have an industrial laser instead of the buzz-saw used in GOLDFINGER (the book).

Uke

Oh…and a carpet-beater, not a cane. Whacked 'im in the nuts with it.

“Do you expect me to talk?”

“No, Mr. Bond…I expect you to DIE!”

Damn, I loved that movie.

Random Task.

No, wait…

I must be getting the guy with the facial scar and grey mandarin jacket confused with the big Korean. I thought Blojob was the one electrocuted in Fort Knox.

Another 007 question-- what’s the name of Goldfinger’s cat (it is Goldfinger, right? Or… the fluffy white one, anyway)? Is that ever provided?

The fluffy white cat was the trademark of Blofeld, head of S.P.E.C.T.R.E.

The character of Blofeld was introduced in the novel “Thunderball”. He was originally seen in the movies “From Russia with Love” and “Thunderball” as a faceless villain. Subsequent movies showed his face. (But I can’t remember which movies.)

In the movies, the Russian organization “Smersh” meaning “death to spies” was changed to SPECTRE (in “From Russia With Love”).

I believe the cat was Blofeld’s. I don’t remember a name. (Goldfinger just had Pussy, no cat. ::In the distance, a rimshot is heard:

‘They couldn’t hit an Elephant from this dist…!’

Ah, right right right. You are absolutely right. But still ,what was the cat’s name?

Uhhh… Fluffy?

I don’t think the cat was ever given a name in the movie(s), and the cat was not mentioned in the novel(s).

The cat was called

“Hey the camera is on the cat, one of the lowers in SPECTRE is gonna die”

Think about it. Even Dr. Evil showcased it
