This is my 100th post. And although I would think about starting a thread about something I found interesting, I never did.
I was wondering how long some you other Dopers posted before you started a thread?
Or are you still a thread virgin?
Sheesh, look at my post count…I’m replying to this just so I won’t have to look at that 0 for replies. 
I’m a thread virgin, I don’t really have anything useful to start one about…
and my daughter and his two oldest children are the other three reasons. Too many people, one good computer and one dinosaur.

Congratulations on hitting 100.
I was on less than a week before I’d started one, but that’s misleading because I had lurked for a while before registering.
I don’t start many threads, though. Every one I’ve started has been a sympathy/birthday/congratulations thread for one of my friends here. Not that there’s anything wrong with starting threads, of course.
Happy 100th, and I hope you’ll continue to contribute here–high or low posting/thread starting frequency!

I started my first thread just a few days after my first post (a question I had for Satan). I’ve started only one thread since (my 100th post).
I posted maybe three times before I started my first thread. Only last week did it dawn on me I put it in the wrong forum. :rolleyes: Fortunately, no one said anything about that.
Besides, 'round here, there’s no such thing as normal.

Well I still haven’t started a thread but I’m sporadic to say the least. One day an interesting topic will come to mind and then watch out SDMB!
My first (and only) thread start was post #666 - couldn’t resist that one (the Devil made me do it!)
I think I made my first thread on the day I got registered… or the day after. I got registered the day I found the bord.
That is because I can make threads about shit of all kinds.

My first 10 posts were questions, and answers to my own questions. I mistakenly assumed this was sort of a human-encyclopedia colony
