11928 registered members?

Wow. Do this many people really use this board? Does this count include all the banned members? And of that nearly 12 thousand, how many are actively posting? (say, once a week, even)

Just curious. The number kinda blew me away. The community appears to be much smaller.

In order: Yes; yes; very, very few.

Less than 1/3 of those have more than 10 posts; many post once in GQ, get their question answered, and never post again; many just register and lurk without ever posting.

Most who register either don’t post at all or post only a few times. In this thread Anthracite looked at the post count of 112 posters chosen more-or-less at random. Only 7 out of 112 posters have a higher post count than you do.

This thread is better suited to About This Message Board. Off it goes.

The way I figure it, the higher that number gets, the better off our Fight for Ignorance becomes.

However, I’m worried… eventually (in maybe, oh, a couple months) we’ll have the entire population of Earth signed onto the message boards… imagine the traffic problems!

Hah! We’ll just shoot them all, especially those with less than 500 posts!

::::::::: Time to run ::::::::

I was going to object, until I noticed your count is lower than mine.

But since the newbies outnumber anyone with more than 80 posts*, we’d better not upset them.

(*951755 posts/11986 members = 79.4 average posts/member)

Sorry. I thought About This Message Board was more for problems with the board.
