I much prefer Discourse. I can’t think of a single thing that I liked better on vBulletin.
Perfect shot for an example of the old board. And started by the OP of this thread too!
This is annoying and as I understand it, it cannot be fixed. The vBulletin threads were sorted by number and the Discourse threads are sorted by thread titles so old links with numbers go nowhere. What’s weird is all the vBulletin threads were renamed from numbers to thread titles so if you look at old threads now they have Discourse URLs. They are easy to for if the poster told you something about the contents of the link but if it’s just a link you are out of luck. You probably knew most of that but I thought I’d toss it in.
It wouldn’t have helped you, we had a deal so everyone spelled your name pulkyamell so we could talk about you behind your back without you knowing. Some of it was really funny, sorry you missed it!
I don’t agree at all. The search on Discourse is excellent.
Was it this thread? If so, all that was needed was stoid as posted by and AHunter3 as a keyword.
Can you tell us what you searched for? Did you search inside quotes? If not that seems like quite a bug.
Are you reading on a phone? Because on a desktop or tablet I can use the scroll bar to move one post at a time if I want. Or fifty posts, it’s all up to me. I also never have to wait for posts to load.
Is this a literally seasick or figuratively seasick? Just having it there causes this or using it causes it? Sorry if it’s literal, that has to suck. I don’t think there is a way to hide the Discourse scroll bar.
This is another one I don’t understand since the board search works great for me. However, you can use the old search by hitting Control +F+F instead of Control+F. This will give you the old highlighted names that you can jump to in order of appearance.
