I tested if smilies worked in the subject line at ATMB. It didn’t, but I thought I’d use it anyway.
My question is: what’s with these guys (and girls) who wink at you while they’re talking to you? It tends to make me feel a bit uncomfortable. And since I don’t react in anyway to it, it makes the speaker uncomfortable as well.
Is it just some nervous reflex, or do they actually conceal some secret meaning?
There’s always another beer.
Relax, don’t worry have a (home)brew!

I know a guy that does this when he’s nervous. It used to kind of weird me out, but once I figured out why it happened I was majorly pumped cause I finally realized that he liked me back.

In case you didn’t know, let me 'splain it to you. When someone winks at you, that is the signal for you to immediately start tearing your clothes off in preparation to amorous activities. The location is immaterial, the sign must not be ignored under penalty of appearing frigid and prissy.
Winkin’, blinkin, and noddin’ don’t bother me much.
It’s folks who look over your shoulder rather than right at you which give me cause to pause.
What’s that all about?
There’s this one girl I know that stares directly at my forehead when I talk to her.
Now that’s just bloody annoying.

I don’t wink in real-life conversation. It just seems crude.
I wink often in online conversation. I do it to be flirty.
Dr. Crane! Your glockenspiel has come to life!
I think they’re signalling to the guy standing behind you to bring down the enormous cartoon mallet on your head.
Aleister Crowley supposed focused on the middle distance when he spoke to people instead of looking them in the eye. Yet another reason to wonder whether Uncle Al was just a pretentious schmuck in RL.
My boss winks at me all the time, and I just got a promotion…does that mean I am going to have to put out?!
I sure hope not, she’s not my ‘type’ and my hubby would be a little upset I think.
Thanks for the smile this morning.
How do you feel about doing someone you don’t know?
