16mm matte box measurements

I’m using a lens shade on my Eclair NPR that will accommodate two filters. It would be nice if I had an actual rod-mounted matte box though.

Unlike an Arriflex or an Aaton, the NPR has a single rod socket on its body. I know a machinist, and I was thinking of asking him to make a matte box rod mount with one rod out the back (flattened to keep it from turning) and two rods out the front. I need measurements pertaining to standard matte boxes used on 16mm cameras (e.g. Chrosziel).

  1. How far below the centreline of the lens are the centrelines of the support rods?

  2. How far apart are the support rods (centre-to-centre)?

  3. What is the diameter of a mini-rod?

I found a photo of some support rods for an unspecified camera. The rods are 15mm, so #3 has been answered. I still need #1 and #2 so that I can have rods that will fit my camera though.
