16th anniversary - wax!?

My wife and I are about to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary and we usually do the “traditional” wedding gifts. but try to put a clever spin on them.

My clever center must be malfunctioning lately, because the traditional gift for 16 years is…wax. I’m drawing a complete blank.

What could I get her that isn’t candles or a body wax? Help me out, smartest, hippest, people of the internet.

You could get her a wax at a spa, or a box of crayons. They also have those massage candles but that shouldn’t be the main gift.

Very romantic

Car wax.

Wax makes all women happy!

“Wax” is slang for vinyl records. Do you have a record player? An LP? If not, maybe an iTunes gift certificate.

American Hot Wax, about DJ Alan Freed, is a DVD. https://www.amazon.com/American-Hot-Wax-Tim-McIntire/dp/B00003CWL9

Gift cert for a Brazilian wax.

A weekend trip to some vacation spot, including a visit to a wax museum.

A beehive?

Brian

Just give her a coupla good wax. She’ll understand.

A trip to see Madamme Tussaud’s in London. (Or New York, Las Vegas, Washington, San Francisco, Hollywood, Nashville or Orlando if that’s more convenient.)

Skis!

That’s an idea. Take a trip to New York City, where you can visit Madame Tussaud’s, and maybe take a side trip two hours south to Easton, PA, where you can take a tour of the Crayola factory.

If your anniversary is this weekend, or within the first two weeks of November or December, you can go out for a moonlight cruise or carriage ride, and watch the moon waxing.

Or Baltimore, with a museum called Great Blacks in Wax. great blacks in wax - Google Search

Lips?

it’s a link - the red kinda hides it…

I give you Wax and raise you Herbal Tea:

Speaking of lips, maybe some fancy lip balm?
Those are often mostly wax.

Has anyone here ever done this? If so, is the smell as overpowering as I’m imagining?

How about wax lips?

You could wax poetic and write her a poem. Or just take her to a Karate Kid movie.
