While I can’t remember the publisher, new Dragon’s Lair and Space Ace comics will be in stores soon. They will be mini-series detailing what happens after the games were won. Space Ace has the hero and damsel attempting to raise the now infant Borf. It seems he may not be as harmless as he looks. . .
But Ranchoth, this dating presupposes a messianic figurehead within the Martian cultural pantheon, and then we are forced to ask, does the Martian god have a 1920’s style deathray? (or whatever the hell we’re calling it now). And what would be the dating on his/her/its deathray?
<< Besides, wouldn’t it be “circa 1500 BCE style Ark of the Covenant Rays” since the Ark was supposed to have built shortly after the exodus? >>
Not that I’d be pedantic or anything, but the episode quoted was from the reign of King David, which is assumed to be around 1000 BCE. And the Exodus is usually dated around 1250 BCE, give or take 50 years or so.
You see the difference between the 1890’s and the 1920’s is the addition of the big red self destruct button. The Martians had no such button as they had no hero what so ever to truly challenge them to win the war.
