1950's or 1960's Alien Movie considered to be a Turkey

Alright I need some help, and I don’t just mean psychological either.

I watched The Big Wilson Night Owl Theater, from Miami’s channel 6, back in late 70’s and 80’s. He sometimes aired his Turkey Award movies.

Once he aired this movie which appeared to be a B & W Alien movie from the 50’s or 60’s. It was so funny to me. What I specifically remember is the alien costumes, they looked like Human legs in tights and from the waist up a possible dark colored squared off cover. It look like a leafy tree of some kind.

Two male characters, who seemed kind of fumbling idiots, like Skipper and Gilligan from Gilligan’s Island. They board the alien craft that seemed to be in a field and were pressing some buttons and managed to get the Gilligan character stuck in a force field within the alien craft. Also remember a sped up part of the film, of him trying everything to break out of the force field.

I am sorry that is all I remember but I would really enjoy knowing what this movie was called if anyone remembers…

Thanks,

The Creeping Terror

Pic.

The picture described by the OP doesn’t sound like The Creeping YTerror. It sounds much more like Invasion of the Star Creatures, a supposede comedy that I never found to be funny:

Here’s the Trailer:

Um, ALL of them? Except “The War of the Worlds,” which was great, and “The Day the Earth Stood Still,” which was boring.

Hey There Folks,

I think it might be the Invasion of the Star Creatures…I have ordered from Amazon.com. When I receive and watch I will write back to let everyone know if it was it…

I am hopeful though.

By the way… Thank you…Thank you… Thank you… for alleviating my mind of this. Wow, I watched it as a 14 year old and laughed my rear end off. I know it is stupid humor but sometimes we just need this stupid humor to get us through the crap that is going on in real life…

Have a wonderful day… I will write back in about 8 days…

Untrue. There are many great SF films of the 50s (many of which were far more intelligent than SF films today, in that they actually cared about the science and the characters had some actual depth to them). Offhand there was “Invasion of the Body Snatchers,” “Forbidden Planet,” “Them!,” “Tarantula,” “The Incredible Shrinking Man,” “The Fabulous World of Jules Verne,” and “It Came From Outer Space.” They can stand up to any current film in every category other than special effects, and special effects are the least important part of a movie.

…Star Creatures has a couple hubba-hubba showgirls playing the titular Creatures. My advice is to fast-forward to their appearances.

Didn’t the 2 “comic” leads have a secret-spaceman-club handshake? And I believe at the end of the movie they find the president of the USA was a member?

My sister and I laughed our butts off when I was about 10 years old at this movie.

You mean Dr. Puna and Prof. Tanga? Pretty racy sexual innuendo for an early 1960’s movie.

Showgirls make the best titular creatures.

“Space-pals, to the end!”

Jeesus, thats like a 45 year old memory.

I kinda preferred Fook Mi and Fook Yu from Mothra. Or am I confusing my films?

Creature-Feature memories!

 I hope so! I don’t wanna think about what you would do with the ones from Mothra!

Oh. My. God. I juuuussst got this. I must be the densest person in the universe. :smack:
