I would like to know the straight dope on the USS Liberty incident, in the news again on its 40th anniversary. Why did Israel attack this ship in the Six Day War? Did LBJ and the world media cover it up? Why? This seems to be an especially hard subject to find unbiased information. background article (anti-US media and Israel)
