Since my travel plans are pretty shot, I’m wondering how I can spend my two month vacation for about $1k.
My current ideas:
Buying camping gear and getting a 2 month permit.
Buying a bunch of video games or memberships and staying home.
Starting a new hobby or collection, e.g. guitar lessons (have to buy a guitar.)
A cheapo vacation package to somewhere I don’t want to go and I can’t afford to do anything I like.
Well, where do you live? And how many days of vacation are you interested in? Oh, and do you happen to already have a passport?
My impression is that you have two months off work but no money to go anywhere. If that’s the case, could you get a seasonal job for a month or so of that, and use the profits to fund a week where ever you want to go? Even if you are just making $8/hour, if you work full time for a month that’ll be another thousand dollars after taxes. For two grand, you could go to quite a few places, and that still leaves you with a couple weeks to bum around at home.
