2 gmail attachments questions

I get a lot of emails in my Gmail account that have one of two types of attachments.
One is annoying, the other useless.

  1. Go to download attachment. Dialog box says you have chosen to download attachment noname which is a: RFC-822 From Https://mail.google.com
I can not find a way to open this type of attachment.
    What am I doing wrong?

  2. .eml files. Outlook express. I can download them and open them, but I have two issues that make this annoying. The first is often the pictures either don’t open, or only a few of them open. The second problem is how the test comes out.

I am reasonably sure that the author did not insert all of that garbage between the words.
So how can I open one of these files and get to view it like it was intended?

RFC-822 is not an attachment type or a file type; it’s an old standard for email messages, defining the information in the header. I cannot imagine why it’s showing up as an attachment, nor why you’d want to open it.

EML: open in Thunderbird.
