In the End Times, Two Witnesses are supposed to spend 2000 and three score days in sackcloth (living in hiding).
Since we haven’t founf Saddam’s or Bin Laden’s bodies, could they be the witnesses hiding out?

“And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.”(bolding mine)
Also Revelation chapter 11 verses 5 and 6
“If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. 6These men have power to shut up the sky so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.”
Last time I check Osama and Saddam do fit that description.
Likely one of the two prophets will be Elijah:
“See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes.”
Malachi 4:5
A triple duty phrophecy there. First it means one thing to the OT, then another for the Gospels, and now yet another for Revelations!
Why people try and make some meaning out of the Bible confounds me. In antiquity people believed that thunder was the voice of God, rain was God opening doors in heaven and letting the waters falls out, and that epileptic seizures was demon possession. Religion never gave an accurate explanation for anything let alone Osama and Saddam.

you say they have not prophesied because you have not heard the prophecies. This is because the media has not reported it to you. Harm is a weasel word. If their barber nicks them does the barber dies? It is always raining somewhere on the globe, does that mean that there will never be two witnesses? Christ turned water into wine and all we have are the writers of the gospels to verify it. What are you waiting for a report from one of the “Embedded Reporters?” If you have an open mind you would realize that Osama and Saddam are the two witnesses.
However, that is the KJV. The new American standard clearly shows that Osama and Saddam are Frank and Jessie James.
I always liked how Osama always says “God willing” after all his threats and boasts. Apparently, it’s god’s will that Afghanistan and Iraq get their collective asses kicked.
Enola, they can’t be the two Witnesses “hiding out” because the two Witnesses aren’t going to be “hiding out”–they’re going to be out there in front of God and everybody, prophesyin’ fit to beat the band.
You wanna look around for the Witnesses, you should be looking at Holy Rollers, not at Possibly Dead Evil Bad Guys.
If it were 2000 and fourscore days then that would equal the number of working hours in an American business year.

I tend to ignore any such hypothesis that refers to Revelations as being insufficiently researched.
(the rest, I ignore on the grounds that the book of Revelation is so contorted and bizarre, you could fit it alongside almost anything)
