I think Joan Allen is one of our great American Actors. Jeff Bridges is not half bad himself. Both were Oscar nominees for this film.
This is a timely Netflix rental.
It is told almost completely with a leftist bias. By that I mean, the Dems are portrayed as progressive and forward-thinking, and the Reps are portrayed as steeped in misogyny kill or be killed politicians.
In this film, the female contender for veep is a Dem. Her reputation is dragged hideously through the mud as the opposition tries desperately to ruin her chances for election. Her integrity is called into question
