Any of you automotive Dopers know how to reset this thing? I dropped by a quick-change place where a friend works for an oil change, and they neglected to do so. It’s not a big deal–but I’d rather avoid having the silly indicator light on for the next 5K miles till my next oil change. Hopefully it doesn’t require any special dealer type equipment.
The reset button is to the right of the speedometer. With the engine off, press and hold the button, then turn the ignition switch to “On” (not “Start” - “On”) and hold the button for at least 10 seconds until the indicator resets.
If you can’t reset it yourself, a decent Honda dealer should do it for you for free.
