Replace Honda Light

I need to replace the parking/marking light–the amber one in the front of the car, whatever it is called, on my 2007 Honda Odyssey. I cannot find any description of how to get to it, despite online searches. Does anyone know how to access this light? I don’t want to just try to figure it out on my own because whenever I do I end up dismantling lots of parts I never really needed to touch.

I don’t have an immediate answer, but there should be a TSB about it somewhere. Search OdyClub.com for answers - it’s probably been answered, with TSBs and manual pages, more than once. (Great resource for Odyssey owners, BTW.)

I do know some of the bulbs seem to have been placed on the assembly line and the car built around them, they’re so difficult to get to. Haven’t had to replace that one yet.

According to this it looks like there should be no disassembly required:

Bulb is 194NA

I have had cars/vans that needed a lot of work to perform routine maintenance, like removing a bumper/grill to replace the headlight. You look lucky on this one.

Now that we’ve got some serious answers… Is anyone else picturing a little light on the dashboard labeled “Replace Honda” that lights up when the entire car gets worn out?

Actually my first parsing was different – I imagined a “Honda Light” as some kind of stripped down Honda, and the question was about replacing it.

I was actually going to ask if OP checked the blinker fluid.

You checked the internet, but did you check the actual manual? Instructions for changing the signal and headlight for our 2006 Accord was right in the glove box manual. It was a pain in the ass, with several steps but was there. Likewise for my Chevy work van. I would be surprised if bulb change instructions were not in the Odyssey manual.

I believe that bulb is manufactured by Toyota.

that’s not what TSBs are used for.

The manual. Actually, that was stolen quite awhile ago when someone broke into the car and stole everything that was in the glove compartment.

You can probably find a PDF of the manual online, though.

I’ve seen them for similar trivialities when there are running changes on a model. Was however speaking generically… make it “probably semi-secret factory service tip intended to allow billing an hour of shop time for something a savvy customer could do if it didn’t use a ‘special tool’ or a Chinese puzzle of a service cover.”
