2006 Weight Loss Club - May

2.6kg down from last week.

Approximately 6kg lost this month. Hurrah!

Not feeling/seeing it yet, except for the fact that my rings are looser than they were previously. But I’m hoping to keep this sort of loss up for a few more weeks, it would be nice to break 120kg sometime in the next couple of months.

I don’t have an official weight, but in full working dress and on the scales at the office this morning, I weighed in at 229.5. This translates to 221.5 in my skivvies at the Y, my official scales.

I’ve lost 3 pounds while on a week-long vacation, eating the worst kind of crap for my diet, and I’m now a pound and a half from my minimum goal.

So here I am, something fundamental has changed in me. For the better. Today marks the first day I got up and unthinkingly got a healthy snack from the refrigerator. And then, given my waiting pattern with work, I headed to the gym on my day off to do some cardio. Normally I don’t go to the gym today, but I was feeling good and decided to go for it.

Glad I did too. I’ve tried and failed in losing weight before, but I’ve never been this motivated and self disciplined in any previous attempts. I have to take these as good signs.
