There’s been quite a bit of coverage lately about how the U.S. national team is in training camp and preparing for the tournament in Japan, but you know what I haven’t heard? Where the games will be televised. I’ve checked NBA.com, USABasketball.com and the sites of all the NBA’s television partners, but I haven’t found a scrap of information about if I’ll be able to watch the games.
Can’t help you about the TV coverage. But I’ll be at some of the games. Some early round and final games will be played in the arena 15 minutes walking distance from my home.
It looks like ESPN2 will be carrying the US games live. According to the ESPN schedule, the first game versus Puerto Rico will be on at 1:00 a.m (Eastern time) 8/19, and the second game versus China will be on at 6:30 a.m. 8/20.
