2008 Presidential Election Results Thread. See it here as they come in.

If you look at the county maps for those mystery states, you’ll see.

Georgia only has one pretty rural county reporting. It was 50/48 Republican in 2004

Kos has MI as pink. WTH?

I am back to being sick to my stomach. Not feeling good.

If Obama wins I’ll be sleeping like a baby - if not - I’m off on a bender!

I admit I didn’t read the instructions for mine and actually marked it up enough to complete the arrow, same as you might have. Should still count, though.

DK is getting hammered harder than a recalcitrant Republican Representative in the 90s. It’s going to have glitches.

I think Kos and electoral-vote are using reported numbers only. All of y’all need to chill, or you’ll never make it through the evening. You can’t assume a state winner from two or three counties, whichever way they go.

Lots of stations are making that ridiculous call.

The man talks sense, but I just can’t help myself.

Any idea what we’re gonna do if Obama doesn’t make it?

That’s one of the dumbest fucking things I’ve ever heard. And I live in Mississippi.

No, no, no…don’t get sick, David Axlrod is on MSNBC and he just makes me want to jump for joy. Talk about calm cool and collected. He just said, “Look, we have so many paths to victory…”

GOBAMA!!

That looks pretty simple to me. I’m not getting the confusion.

Now that *would *be confusing, but I don’t see the boxes, just arrows with gaps.

Because we’re not all partisan hacks? Daniels has been a good governor, and the Democratic challenger ran a horrible campaign. There’s no reason to vote him out.

Indiana is going to be a squeaker regardless of who wins, but no one’s going to call it before Gary reports in. Gary is notorious for it’s late returns. It didn’t post its results until late in the night during the primaries and I doubt we’ll see anything different this election. By the time it reports in, the election will be decided without Indiana.

**Frank’s **right. One or two counties is not nearly enough to draw conclusions about a whole state.

CNN calls RI, MI, WI, MN, and NY for Obama.

ND and WY for McCain.

Did Chris Matthews just say, “I like the way you hate, Mr. Delay.”?
Hahahaha!!!

Oh yes, yes he did and I laughed my butt off!

arizona too early to call!

obama = 175

mccain = 70

Obama:

Michigan
Minnesota
Wisconsin
New York
Rhode Island

EV 175

McCain:
North Dakota
Wyoming
Kansas

EV 61

Fox call Ohio for Obama

I happened to be watching the news, and it was explained as follows:

Once a certain number of precincts have reported, the exit polls for those precincts can be compared to the actual numbers to come up with a correction factor for any bias in the exit polls. This factor can be used to correct the exit polls for the remainder of the state and project a winner.

Holy shit. No wonder you have low turnouts in your country. I gave up reading that after page three. Here, it’s four or five boxes, in which you write an X any way you like.

What the heck is going on with Florida and Virginia???
