Man I’m laughing and crying like mad over here; I’m sure my new downstairs neighbor must think I’m a total nutter. I can’t sit still, instead I keep dancing around pumping my fists and singing “We won! We won!!” This is the coolest thing I have ever been a part of, and I’m so glad to have followed along here with you guys. (Even if I’m not posting, I’m refreshing like mad.)

My husband said out loud what I’d kinda been feeling: it’s like we want to volunteer to help or to do something now.

I’ve never, ever felt so strongly about an election. And I’m 56, so I’ve been doing this for a few presidents.

Wow! I was at a friends house and when I left Obama was at 199. I figured it would be another hour before it got to 270. But as soon as I got home it was called!

The speech was real nice. My eyes watered. Michelle’s I love you was touching. I was surprised at the cinematic theme music though. I thought more contemporary songs were usually chosen.

Does anyone know what the voter turnout was like? My friend said the turnout was down, but wiki says it’s up. But wiki doesn’t have a cite, although the number is awfully specific. I can’t find a good estimate anywhere else.

So far about 102 million votes counted. (Per MSN’s site). Still counting and roughly 200 million registered voters I think.

Norm Coleman is such a dick. I thought Franken would win in a walk. But that’s the senate stuff. I really like North Carolina and wanted them to go Kerry four years ago. And I thought they’d have results before Florida. So go NC! At least they’ve @boot’ed Libby!

It appears I may have been too pessimistic. Franken is now down by only 5300. This could definitely happen.

Edit: Obama’s up by 359 in NE-02, though I don’t know how much is left to count.

Nah, it’s mostly gay cattle ranchers here, plus a few gay bison ranchers. But I’m mostly counting on us effete ivory tower intellectuals to deliver Gallatin.

So far about 102 million votes counted. (Per MSN’s site). Still counting and roughly 200 million registered voters I think.

Up to 104 million and still 20% of all precincts to count. Turnout in 2004 was 122 million. Maybe we’ll break it but I’m surprised it isn’t much more.

Yup–I’m 46 and have never felt like this before. I felt like this after 9/11 and was told to “go shopping”. Epic fail, that one…

Off to bed soon. Daughter ran through Kenmore Square in Boston with friends, screaming that Obama won–TV cameras caught it; no idea if she’s on Boston’s TV!
