A great night, indeed!
You’re with eleanorigby?
Now this truly IS the Best Day Ever!
My husband said out loud what I’d kinda been feeling: it’s like we want to volunteer to help or to do something now.
I’ve never, ever felt so strongly about an election. And I’m 56, so I’ve been doing this for a few presidents.
Less than 1000 difference in Montana.
Why, that’s half the population!
Looks like Obama’s going to lose Montana, and Franken’s just plain going to lose.
I do believe that you owe me a new keybord, monitor, and refreshing beverage.
So far about 102 million votes counted. (Per MSN’s site). Still counting and roughly 200 million registered voters I think.
Alright, off to bed.
YES WE FUCKING CAN.
Norm Coleman is such a dick. I thought Franken would win in a walk. But that’s the senate stuff. I really like North Carolina and wanted them to go Kerry four years ago. And I thought they’d have results before Florida. So go NC! At least they’ve @boot’ed Libby!
How about a smoking hot cup of me, baby? Rrrrrow.
puts celebratory tequila back into cabinet and hopes that he didn’t push the Submit Reply button… uh oh
Don’t write off Montana just yet… There’s still no Gallatin County results (C’mon, you guys, count my vote!), and as of this moment Obama’s up by 500. But yeah, I’m working myself up into a nervous tizzy seeing how close it is.
This thread is two bottles of tequila away from turning into an orgy.
It appears I may have been too pessimistic. Franken is now down by only 5300. This could definitely happen.
Edit: Obama’s up by 359 in NE-02, though I don’t know how much is left to count.
Thinking that the gay sheep ranchers will pull it [del]out[/del] off for Obama?
I so want to have my nation represented by a Senator that is on the record as saying that Rush Limbaugh is a big fat idiot.
Oooooh, lemme just slip into something a little more comfortable…
pulls out stars-n-stripes garter belt and white thigh-highs, then falls asleep due to overexcitement
ZZZZZzzzzz…
Nah, it’s mostly gay cattle ranchers here, plus a few gay bison ranchers. But I’m mostly counting on us effete ivory tower intellectuals to deliver Gallatin.
Up to 104 million and still 20% of all precincts to count. Turnout in 2004 was 122 million. Maybe we’ll break it but I’m surprised it isn’t much more.
Yup–I’m 46 and have never felt like this before. I felt like this after 9/11 and was told to “go shopping”. Epic fail, that one…
Off to bed soon. Daughter ran through Kenmore Square in Boston with friends, screaming that Obama won–TV cameras caught it; no idea if she’s on Boston’s TV!
