of course, if you were Greek, it’s still Christmas.
Not having to take down decorations is one benefit of being Jewish - balanced by the malefit that we don’t put any up.
That means I was almost Jewish durin’ Christmas. My only home decorations consisted of a wreath on the front door and a four foot artificial tree. Matter of fact except for the tree which contains its own lights and a few tiny ornaments for it, I have given away most of my Christmas decorations. I still have two plastic tub thingies full of a little village scene I meant to give to the church for the yard sale last November but somehow I didn’t get them out of the storage buildin’ in time. They are now front and center in the storage buildin’ to go to the next yard sale this Fall. The wreath is made of fresh greenery every year cause I think they look purtier.
I have learned the chain stitch and made a 2-foot long chain. Keeping the tension is an issue. Later on I shall larn me some crochet stitch.
I feel very accomplished. And thus it begins…
Great idea for a thread.
Ten years ago I was a high school student. Here are some highlights from my life since then.
In the past decade: I learned to play guitar, lost my remaining grandparents, received my bachelor’s degree, worked as an intern, enrolled in graduate school (and will graduate this year!), wrote a play, traveled the world, fell in love, found a job, and did my very best to give everyone I met along the way the benefit of the doubt.
Here’s to the next ten years and all that they may bring!
that could be a topic/thread starter for your first gig as mmp host - which could be started as early as, oh, say
NOW.
