Falcons just traded up with the Browns!!!
Atlanta traded up. Julio Jones?
Holy crap, did Atlanta just trade up?!!!
Btw, the fact that the Browns traded away instead of took Jones means he’s gonna be a superstar. Bank on it.
Jones has to be the pick. Probably a smart move, can’t wait to see what they spent to go up under this uncertain system. Had to be a future 1st at least.
Epic win for the Browns.
Will this be a genius move or a second coming of the Ricky Williams trade?
Browns made out like a bandit on this trade.
1st (27), 2nd, and 4th this year, 1st and 4th next year from Atlanta.
Not a total assraping actually going by conventional wisdom - 6 to 27 is a HUGE drop.
Wonder if the 49ers take Gabbert or trade back, maybe take Cam Jordan?
I wouldn’t be surprised to see them trade back up into the middle of the round to grab a DE.
Aldon Smith, really? WTF?
Seems like its a little bit expensive, but the Falcons probably assume they’ll be drafting in the 30s next year so maybe not. Jones better be a stud, that’s more than the Bears gave up for Cutler.
Yeah, I’m anticipating next year’s Atlanta pick is 24th at best for the Browns, so not actually the amazing ass raping or anything. The Browns got the better of the deal, but relatively modestly. You know what would be badass, if they could manage to trade back from the Atlanta #27 back into like #12 or something for the cost of the Atlanta second rounder, and then pick up Fairley if he drops, who they might’ve picked at #6 anyway… That would be a free 1st and 2 4ths.
I don’t love Smith, but he’s the first pick of the draft that’s actually a really good fit. He’ll step in for Manny Lawson immediately.
It’s the 2nd round pick that seemed excessive. If they’d have given two 1sts and two 4ths I’d have liked it a hell of a lot more.
Not the Missouri Tiger I was fearing, I’ll have to cancel the Vader “Nooooooooooo” button.
Ha, now all the mock drafts are fucked up.
The surprises begin, Jake Locker before Gabbert, at #8.
O_O LOCKER?a
Nailed my first one from the Mock. I think I deserve props for that one. I really like that pick for them, he’ll be an excellent fit with his mobility and the offensive weapons on that team.
Dave Razzano must be doing jumping jacks and cartwheels.
Locker could be really good. It’s underestimated just how horrible the rest of the the Huskies really were. This was a team that had won zero games the year before Locker became the starter.
